Monday, September 25:
Shared Reading: This week we will be reading Three Billy Goats Gruff. We will read and reread the book. We will make predictions. We will retell the story.
Reading: I can read with expression to sound like an expert. We will read and reread non-fiction books to sound like experts.
Word Study: I can read and write sight words from List 1. We will review the List 1 sight words and write with chalk outside. I can name the sound the letter Tt makes. We will also sort pictures that begin with Tt and pictures that do not.
Social Studies: I can identify how a person helps my community. We will read Community Helper What Do you See? We will discuss how a person helps our community.
Writing: I can plan my writing for a book. We will finish our books.
Math: Unit 1 Assessment. Students will be assessed on the following: Can write numbers 1-10 correctly, can identify numbers 1-10 correctly, orally counting, can match written number to manipulatives, can identify which number is greater.
Tuesday, September 26: Picture Day!
Shared Reading: This week we will be reading Three Billy Goats Gruff. We will read and reread the book. We will make predictions. We will retell the story.
Reading: Reading: I can read with expression to sound like an expert. We will read and reread non-fiction books to sound like experts.

Moms/Grandmothers/Aunts, etc. may come in after Muffins with Mom and read with your child until 8:30. From 8:30-9:00, we will have a gallery walk where students will share writing, work on wall, classroom, etc.
Reading: I can look at the pictures, remember, and read a familiar book by myself. We will continue to read Three Billy Goats Gruff. Students will read book independently
